Aaron and the installation crew were excellent and extremely knowledgeable during our consultations with them on the stove we wanted. They were able to respond to our requirements with plenty of choices to choose, accommodated our changes and installed the hearth that we had pre-selected from another vendor. Their prices were also better than other vendors we spoke to compare installation costs. On the days on installation they were also able to resolve the small challenges/issues our floor and fireplace presented as they went and without further work which we were grateful for. Installation was otherwise extremely efficient, clean and we had a stove up and running that night just as the cold weather took hold. Couldn't recommend these guys more! Gary, Jack and James did a fantastic job at installing our wood burner. Lovely chaps, clean, polite and efficient and talked us through the entire process so well, including the aftercare. You can see how much attention to detail they put in, the final result was as close to perfect as you could get. I cannot recommend the team at Chiltern Fireplaces enough, they were helpful form survey, through procurement and installation. There was some time between the survey and placing the order, where i changed my mind (and the quote) numerous times but they always helped me out. Right from the get-go, we received outstanding service. We visited their shop with just the idea that we wanted a new fireplace for our new home.  The guy in the shop took time and a lot of patience talking through different fires and stoves, looking through catalogues and photos. He talked us through how to take measurements, and start to build a plan.  The next week, Gary arrived as planned, to take measurements and to prepare a quote. He is extremely amiable and very, very knowledgeable. We had to have preliminary work done like retracing/removing pipes, but as a builder himself, was able to explain exactly what needed doing and what he would expect to see if we accepted the quote. The quote came back (well within budget) so we accepted and booked a start date. Gary and his guys arrived on time and raring to go. We were working that day, so Gary talked through exactly what would happen, what it would look like, what he expected to have done by the end of the day and everything, (I mean everything) else we needed to know. When we arrived home that evening, apart from a few tool boxes in the corner, the place was immaculate! It may even have been cleaner than when they arrived. The next day, again arrived in time and their usual jolly selves. We returned to an amazing fireplace. It really has surpassed our expectations and the workmanship is excellent. I’m not posting any pictures yet because we are still decorating the surrounding room. Gary said we were going to have a beautiful fireplace -and we have. Great; we used Chiltern Fireplaces to rip out the old, dated fireplace and replace it with a lovely modern wood burner. We had the work done in February 2023, and the difference the woodburner has made to keeping the room warm is incredible. Our living room 'make over' is now complete and its looking great.
