A hidden treasure has been uncovered at Liverpool’s historic Speke Hall .
The house team at the black and white National Trust landmark has rediscovered a Tudor fireplace in the venue’s St Raymond’s room – and which still bears traces of what is suspected to be original paintwork from the 16th century.
